A few years ago I watched a documentary about The Mamas and the Papas and have been infatuated with Michelle Phillips ever since. She has lived a life some can only imagine. She is blessed with natural beauty and is the perfect pin up girl for flower power, free love and psychedelic hippy culture.
She married John Phillips at eighteen and the pair formed the iconic band with Denny Doherty and huge vocal talent Mama Cass Elliot. Their marriage was stormy and Phillips had many affairs, including a passionate relationship with Denny Doherty. She was kicked out of the band and replaced by their manager's girlfriend Jill Gibson.
When Doherty refused to stick up for her, Phillips crashed a recording and took a swing at him. According to sources, anything was possible when she was on a mission. Michelle was reinstated in the band and reunited with her husband where they moved in to an extravagant mansion in Bel Air. Their daughter Chynna was born in 1968 yet soon after, John and Michelle split and The Mamas and the Papas disbanded.
She then went on to date (and break the hearts of) some big named Hollywood men including Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper and Warren Beatty. Youthful, natural beauty and timeless style.
